Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #1B, Glide Wax: CH7, Grip Wax:
Quick skate trip from P10 up Fortune Pkwy, up Ridge and Khyber pass then out 1B to above Western and back. Superb skating with thin layer of fresh silky-soft powder over icy base. Skating best on Pkwy, staying away from snowmobile lanes where lumpy, icy grains have been stirred into snow. If you can escape for a couple of hours before the storm hits, go skiing!
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
