Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #5 (green), #27, #29 (shared), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

This is the first time we have started from Plein Air. We did an anti-clockwise loop consisting of trail 27 to 5 to 29 and back on 27 to P2. It looked rather bleak and icy starting out but once we were into the woods things improved a lot, though the tracks were still a just a tad icy. No problems snow ploughing down the long, slow slope on trail 5, however, which was in good shape. Trail 29 from 5 to 26 was very churned up. Mostly classic skiers, but a few skaters as well.
So, a nice outing but I'm disappointed we didn't get all that snow we were promised!
