Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: #1, #1B, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #3, Glide Wax: Briko purple, Grip Wax:
Skate skied from P8, up Penguin to Gossip Corner, parkway to Burma (aka the mogul run), 1, 1B, 1, 24, 1 and all the way back down Penguin to P8.
Very fast and firm conditions, but Burma is a bit of a disaster right now with constant dips and doodles making it very hard to keep well balanced. I expect to be a better skier after today's trip up.
Lesson learned for today: Don Maclean's iconic tune American Pie is a great song, but does little to inspire the listener going up Penguin.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
