Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #5 (green), #15 (blue), #26, Pink Lake Access, Glide Wax: pretty good today, Grip Wax:

late afternoon ski for my wife and I from P3. Skied parkway, 5, 15, in behind Pink lake and back home along the parkway.

very firm and fast conditions everywhere except 15, which was slightly soft and somewhat forgiving us us skate skiers. I enjoyed the conditions and the ski. My wife? Not so much as it was 10 degrees colder than it was thought to be and the soft conditions on 15 are not her favourite.

at the end of 15, I leaned something new: 15 is supposed to be classic only. Ironically, of the 6 skiers we saw, 2 were doing classic and the rest were skate skiing.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
