Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #5 (green), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

NCC site said lots and lots of grooming was done over night, and they sure did.

We skate skied from P3 in fresh snow. They had obviously groomed, but the Ottawa rain was Gatineau snow and covered things up. Parkway was firm, then we turned onto 5 and it was excellent. Tried to do 15, but it was not track set so we did a u-turn and got on the parkway, up Pink to the intersection then skied back on the parkway to Gamelin.

with the new snow falling fast, the parkway was getting pretty tough to ski on, but it was still good to pay the price now for better skiing later.
