Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #36 (black), #36 (blue), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

I haven't seen any report on trail #36 starting from P11 so I thought I'd let you know I've been on it twice now and it's stunningly beautiful but you need to go slowly and watch for the rocks particularly on the second steep descent down to the lake, just before the 2.5 KM sign post. (I didn't go any further, just a 5K round trip.)

They've put a sign in the parking lot saying 'marginal conditions' and I suppose they are marginal, but if you're careful it is quite do-able. And quiet! Only one other car there today.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
